The spa at The Ungasan Clifftop Resort, whose treatment menu is published as the Vela Spa menu, sits on the high cliffs of Ungasan on the southern edge of the Bukit, with white pavilions and palm-lined lawns looking straight out over the Indian Ocean. It is a quieter, more secluded setting than the big Nusa Dua and Jimbaran resort spas.
Treatments include Seven Chakra Healing Bowls, Sacral Light Stone Therapy and a Cool Bliss Cucumber Facial, alongside signature massages, facials and nail treatments, and therapists can come to your villa if you are staying. The resort's wellness programme adds daily yoga, nature meditation and resilience workshops, with the clifftop pavilions used for classes.
The spa is open 09:00–19:00. Book through the resort's WhatsApp; the website does not say whether non-residents can book, so ask when you enquire. Expect luxury-resort pricing. Combine a treatment with lunch or sunset at the resort, or with nearby Melasti beach.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
