Sundays sits on a private stretch of white sand at the foot of the cliffs below The Ungasan Clifftop Resort. You ride a custom inclinator lift down the cliff face, then spend the day on bean bags under umbrellas, with the bar, wood-fired kitchen and water-sports kit a few steps from the shoreline.
Entry is by Daily Beach Pass, sold to walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis from 7.30am. At the time of writing the adult pass is IDR 800K, of which IDR 500K is food and drink credit, and children aged 5–11 pay IDR 400K with IDR 250K credit; under-fives go free. The pass covers a welcome drink, umbrella and bean bag, towels and access to the paddleboards and kayaks. VIP experiences with reserved spaces can be pre-booked online.
Live music runs from 5pm to 8pm and beach bonfires are lit at sunset, with marshmallows for the children. Snorkelling and water sports depend on the tide, so check the tide chart on the website before you go. Arrive early in peak season, as bean bags go quickly. Open daily 7.30am–10pm.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
