Rapture Surfcamp Green Bowl

Rapture's Green Bowl camp is perched on the cliffs on the south coast of the Bukit, about two minutes from Green Bowl, a powerful right-hand reef break reached only by a long flight of steep stairs from the temple car park. The effort of getting down keeps the line-up quieter than the west-coast breaks, and the wave bends into a hollow inside bowl when it is working.

Guests get daily surf guiding across the Bukit, with the team using the same daily condition checks as its sister camp at Padang Padang, about 25 minutes away by car, so you are taken wherever the waves are best rather than only to the break below. The camp has an infinity pool with views across the jungle to the ocean, an open-air yoga studio with daily sessions, an outdoor gym and on-demand massage at extra cost. Breakfast daily and dinner Monday to Friday are included; surf gear and airport transfers are extra.

Rooms range from shared dorms to private penthouse suites. The camp caters for all levels, with lessons available for beginners. Book through the Rapture website.
