Ohana Bali is a restaurant and bar on Jl. Raya Uluwatu in Ungasan built around families. Behind the airy dining room there is a large, well-kept play area with nannies on hand, and there is no entrance fee: you pay only for what you order, which makes it popular with parents who want a proper sit-down meal.
The menu is international, from breakfast through to dinner: bruschetta, burrata, pasta, steaks, lemon chicken and goulash, plus a kids' menu. The chocolate lava cake is the dessert to order. Food reviews are mixed, but the setting, service and value are widely praised. The venue also runs events such as family movie nights.
Open daily from 08:00 to 23:00. It is most useful as a place for the whole family to spend a few hours, especially on a hot afternoon or a rainy day. Staff help with parking, and the restaurant is a 10-minute drive from Melasti and Pandawa beaches.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
