leSANDO is a small café in a quiet street in Ungasan run by a couple who moved to Bali from the UK. Its focus is simple and well executed: sourdough sandwiches, bagels and all-day breakfast, served with good coffee from early morning.

Favourites include the chicken ranch sandwich, tuna mayo, a grilled ham and cheese with pickles and Dijon mustard, and the chef's special. Drinks range from flat whites and matcha to a lime, mint and Bali honey fizz. Sandwiches are filling and good value. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and a friendly resident dog.

Open daily from 06:30 to 18:30. It is a handy breakfast or lunch stop if you are staying around Ungasan or Pecatu Indah, and the owners are often on hand checking on guests. It is just off Jl. Raya Uluwatu, so it is easy to reach on the way to the beaches. Coffee and a sandwich make an easy takeaway for a picnic at the southern beaches.
