Karma Beach is the beach club of the Karma Kandara resort on the Ungasan cliffs. You arrive by riding a hill tram down the limestone cliff face to a sheltered strip of white sand, where there are sun loungers under umbrellas, private cabanas, a restaurant and bar right on the beach, and a reef lagoon for snorkelling and paddling at the right tide.
Days are family-friendly, with water sports, beachcombing and spa treatments by the sea, and the mood shifts in the late afternoon when resident and guest DJs play through sunset. The menu leans towards Mediterranean and Japanese dishes, with sushi a regular feature, and there are monthly food and drink promotions. Next to the beach, the resort also runs Tandoori Bar & Grill and the Le Club 22 cocktail bar.
Non-guests are welcome but should reserve in advance, as space on the sand is limited; bookings are taken by WhatsApp, phone or email. The entrance is through Karma Kandara on Jl. Villa Kandara in Ungasan.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
