Double Ikat is an Indonesian restaurant on Jl. Pantai Balangan I in Ungasan, open for dinner only. Its dining room is elegant but intimate, and it is known for combining a full Indonesian meal with live cultural performances on selected nights.
The kitchen offers multi-course set menus, for example a six-course dinner with a welcome drink, salmon starter, crab, oxtail soup, charcoal-grilled prawns and Balinese suckling pig, as well as a special moonlight buffet evening with a kecak dance and fire performance. Staff are attentive to food allergies and the chef often comes out to meet guests.
Open daily from 18:00 to 23:00. Ask when booking which nights feature performances, as these are the most memorable. Prices per person are high by local standards, reflecting the set menus and entertainment. It is about 10 minutes from Ungasan's resorts and Balangan. Mention any allergies or dietary needs when you reserve so the kitchen can prepare for them.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
