Museum Pasifika is a private art museum in Block P of the ITDC resort complex in Nusa Dua, next to the Bali Collection shopping area. Its galleries, set in Balinese-style pavilions with high timber roofs, hold a large collection of paintings, sculpture and textiles from Indonesia, the wider Asia region and the Pacific islands.
A highlight is the work of European and Asian artists who lived and painted in Bali and the archipelago in the 20th century, shown alongside Indonesian masters, so it gives a good overview of how Bali was depicted by outsiders and by its own painters. The rooms are air-conditioned and rarely crowded, which makes it an easy escape from the midday heat or a rainy afternoon.
It is open daily 10:00–18:00, according to its Google listing. Allow an hour or two. The museum is walkable from several Nusa Dua resorts or a short taxi ride from Tanjung Benoa, and it can be combined with a visit to the Waterblow and Puja Mandala nearby. Check the website for current admission prices and any temporary exhibitions.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
