T-Section Coffee, Brunch & Surf Shop

T-Section is a small coffee shop, brunch café and surf shop on Jl. Pantai Balangan, a few minutes up the road from the beach. It is a pre- and post-surf stop: espresso, matcha, croissants, eggs on sourdough, toasties and smoothie bowls, made in an open kitchen and served in a bright, air-conditioned room or at the tables out front. The owner also runs a surf school and rents boards and scooters from the same building.

Opening hours vary by day. It opens at around 07:00 every morning and closes mid-afternoon on Mondays, late afternoon from Wednesday to Friday, and at 23:00 on Tuesdays and at weekends, when there are open-mic, live music or karaoke evenings. Prices are low for the area.

The café is a good base if you are staying in Balangan without a car: you can arrange a lesson, rent a board and have breakfast in one place. Check the Instagram account for the week's evening events.
