La Pasion

La Pasion is a laid-back, colourful restaurant on Jl. Pantai Balangan, a few minutes' drive up from Balangan beach and close to several guesthouses and small hotels. It runs from breakfast through to late evening, with a thatched garden area, a pool and a bright bar.

The menu leans Latin American: beef and pork tacos, chicken quesadillas, beef empanadas, tortilla chips with guacamole and fresh salsa, plus burritos and breakfast plates. It is notably vegan and vegetarian friendly, with dishes such as a tempeh burger and vegan burritos. Prices are reasonable for the area, cocktails are good value and margaritas are a favourite.

Open daily from 08:00 to 23:00. Evenings bring live music on some nights and surf films on a projector. It is a handy base if you are staying around Balangan or the Pecatu Indah side and want somewhere easy to eat without driving into Uluwatu. Parking is available on site.
