Flowerbud Bungalow is a long-standing budget favourite on Balangan, a garden of thatched bamboo-and-wood bungalows with mosquito nets, fans or air-conditioning and open-air bathrooms. A large pool sits beside the restaurant, which serves breakfast and simple meals.

Balangan beach and its surf break are a short, slightly rocky walk away, and the beach warungs below are good for lunch and sunset. Scooter rental can be arranged on site, and you will want one, as shops and restaurants beyond the beach are not within walking distance.
