Rockfish Cliffside occupies a natural limestone grotto on the cliffs at Karang Boma, south of Uluwatu Temple. A timber deck runs out to a glass balcony over the drop, with the ocean about 100 metres below and an uninterrupted view of the horizon. Tables sit under the rock canopy, with chandeliers and a raw bar displaying the day's seafood.

The kitchen is led by chef Andrey Legkiy, who has worked in kitchens including Nobu and Ginza. The menu focuses on seafood: oysters, sashimi and sushi, crudo and larger fish and shellfish dishes, with a full drinks list. The venue is also used for weddings and won a 2025 award as a cliffside wedding venue.

Rockfish opens daily from noon until late. The best tables for sunset go early, so book ahead through the website or WhatsApp and arrive in good time. Prices are at the top end, and the setting is a large part of what you are paying for. It is on Jalan Batu Bolong, a short drive from the temple.

Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
