Mana Uluwatu Restaurant

Mana is the restaurant at Uluwatu Surf Villas, set high on the cliff above the Uluwatu surf break, a short walk from Suluban beach. It is open to everyone from breakfast to late, and its wide timber deck looks straight out over the ocean, making it one of the best-value sunset dinner settings on the Bukit.

The menu is Asian fusion with an emphasis on small plates for sharing: tuna and snapper ceviche, prawns on betel leaf, grilled cauliflower and beef rendang tacos, plus mains such as miso ramen and line-caught market fish. The Balinese chocolate dessert with banana cream and peanuts is a favourite. A live musician often plays in the evening.

Open daily from 07:00 to 23:00. Book several days ahead for dinner and arrive 30 minutes early to try for a front-row table facing the water. Reach it via Jl. Pantai Suluban; there are some stairs up to the restaurant.
