Yeye's Warung

Yeye's Warung sits right on the main Uluwatu road, Jl. Labuansait, between Padang Padang and the Suluban turn-off, and doubles as a small gift shop. It has long been a gathering point for surfers and backpackers looking for an honest, inexpensive local meal.

The focus is nasi campur served buffet-style: you point at what you want from a counter of curries, vegetables, tempeh, tofu, meats and sambals, and it is served on rice. The selection is wide and particularly good for vegetarians and vegans, portions are big and prices are among the lowest on the strip.

Open daily from 12:00 to 21:00. It is open-sided with no air-conditioning, so it can be hot in mid-afternoon; lunch or early evening is more comfortable. Card payments may carry a surcharge, so bring cash. There is roadside parking for scooters, and it is a few minutes' ride from Padang Padang beach. Point at what you would like and staff will plate it up, with the price based on your choices.
