White Rabbit is a late-night cocktail bar and speakeasy on the main Labuansait strip, next door to Lola's. You reach it up a narrow lit staircase into a dark, wood-panelled lounge with velvet armchairs and a long back bar, which makes a change from the open-air surf bars that dominate Uluwatu.
The drinks list is built on house infusions and original creations made from scratch each night, such as a Balinese Sour with barbecue-roasted pineapple, arak, clove and palm sugar, alongside modern classics. It also claims one of the island's largest whiskey collections. Prices are listed in thousands of rupiah and are subject to tax and service, so expect cocktail-bar rather than beach-bar prices.
The weekly rhythm is live jazz on Tuesdays, with vocals, saxophone and guitar, and house and tech house DJs on Fridays and Saturdays. It is open every night from 7pm to 2am. Walk-ins are welcome; to hold a table, send a message on Instagram, and use the email address for private events.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
