Svanata Uluwatu Bali Resort

Svanata Uluwatu Bali Resort occupies the terraced clifftop on Jl. Pemutih at Labuan Sait, the site formerly run as Anantara Uluwatu, between Padang Padang and Impossibles. It has 73 suites, pool villas and penthouses, and the stepped layout means almost every room faces the Indian Ocean.

Suites run from 84 to 100 sq m and have a jacuzzi on the balcony; the pool villas are much larger, at roughly 300 to 577 sq m, with their own pools. Facilities include a multi-level oceanfront swimming pool, a spa, restaurants, a clifftop wedding chapel and private beach stairs to Impossibles, a reef break suited to experienced surfers. Padang Padang beach and the cafés of the Labuansait strip are a short walk or scooter ride away.

Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00. Booking direct through the resort website is possible, and the reservations team answers on WhatsApp. Sunset from the pool terraces is the main event, so book a table early if you plan to dine on site. The stairs to the beach are long and steep, which is worth knowing if anyone in your group has limited mobility.
