Sushimi is a small Bali group with branches in Seminyak, Berawa and here in Uluwatu, on Jl. Labuansait at the western end of the Padang Padang strip. The dining room is built around a curved conveyor counter under paper lanterns and timber beams, with extra tables to the side.
Chefs send classic nigiri, maki and signature rolls round the belt, and you can order anything else from the menu: sashimi, hand rolls, sushi burritos and sushi doughnuts, ramen, gyoza, Japanese curry and bento. Beef nigiri and baby octopus are among the less usual plates. The belt selection can be limited at quiet times, so ordering a few dishes directly gives more variety. Plates are colour-coded by price and the bill climbs quickly if you keep grabbing.
Open daily 11:00–23:00. It works well for families and for a quick solo lunch at the counter. Sushimi also does sushi platters for villa catering and delivery. It can feel warm inside on hot afternoons; street parking is limited.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
