Lola's Cantina Mexicana Uluwatu

Lola's Cantina began in Canggu and opened this second branch on Jl. Labuansait, west of Padang Padang towards Suluban. The building is a traditional timber joglo with papel picado bunting, an open front and a bar that fills up in the evening.

The kitchen does Cali-Mexican food: soft tacos (the sticky pork belly and fish tacos are the ones people return for), quesadillas, tostadas, taco salads, nachos and guacamole, with a good choice of vegan options. Margaritas come in several flavours and are discounted during happy hour. Some dishes come with coriander by default, so ask if you would rather not.

Open daily 12:00–00:00. Early evening suits families and groups eating dinner; later on, themed nights such as reggaeton parties bring a DJ and a younger crowd. Scooter parking is in front. Walk-ins are fine for small groups; message ahead for larger tables. It is a short ride from Padang Padang beach and handy for dinner after sunset at Suluban.
