Krishna's Kitchen

Krishna's Kitchen is a simple, open-fronted Indian restaurant under a thatched roof on Jl. Labuansait, a short walk from the Padang Padang beach entrance. It has wooden tables on a paved terrace and a menu built around home-style North and South Indian cooking.

Expect chicken tikka masala, korma and other chicken curries, a large choice of vegetarian dishes, dal, thalis served on banana leaf, dosas and khichdi, plus samosas and fried onion bhajis to start. Breads are a strength: the naan and roti are soft and freshly made. The kitchen does not serve beef, pork or lamb. Drinks include lassis and masala chai, and desserts include gajar halwa, a carrot pudding.

Open daily 12:00–22:00. Food arrives quickly and hot, and prices are low for the area, which makes it a popular dinner stop for surfers and families. Krishna's Kitchen also caters for villa parties and events if you message ahead through Instagram.
