Iron Wave Uluwatu

Iron Wave is a compact boutique surf camp on a lane off Jl. Umpeng Sari, about five minutes from Padang Padang beach. It offers bunk-bed dorms and private rooms, a pool deck for lazy afternoons and proper board storage for surfers travelling with their own quiver.

The interiors are styled with surf in mind, with racks of boards, communal tables and a lounge area for swapping stories after a session. Being small, it has a friendlier and calmer feel than the big hostels on the main road.

Padang Padang, Impossibles and Uluwatu are all close, and the Labuan Sait strip has plenty of places to eat. It is newer than many places on this list and has fewer reviews, but those it has are excellent. Book directly by WhatsApp or through the website. It suits surfers who want a social base without late-night noise, and the staff can advise on which break is working on the day.
