Warung Babi Guling Sari Dewi, better known as Pak Dobil, is a famous family warung on Jl. Srikandi in Bualu, just outside the Nusa Dua resort gates. It is a long-established specialist in babi guling, Bali's spit-roast suckling pig, and has more than 7,000 reviews, with locals and visitors alike rating it among the best on the island.
There is essentially one dish: a plate of rice with crispy crackling, tender roast pork, spiced meats, lawar and vegetables, with or without a bowl of pork soup. Dine-in plates start at around Rp40,000 to Rp45,000. There are two queues: the right-hand one for dining in, where you are given a number and food is brought to your table, and another for takeaway, which is quicker.
Open daily from 09:30 to 16:00, but the best cuts go early, so arrive late morning. It is small with limited parking and can be busy at lunchtime. Note that this is a pork-only warung.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
