Teba Cafe is one of the bigger seafood cafés on Muaya beach, at the southern end of Jimbaran Bay beside the Four Seasons. It has a shaded garden area under the trees and long rows of tables on the sand, and in the evening the staff light candles and lanterns along the shoreline. The menu covers seafood platters, whole grilled fish, king prawns, lobster and clams, plus satay, nasi goreng and other Indonesian staples for anyone not eating seafood.
It opens from 10:00 to 23:00 daily. Seafood is sold by weight or as set platters; agree the price before ordering. Groups are common at sunset, so if you want a front-row table it is worth arriving before 17:30 or calling ahead on the number below.
Muaya beach is quieter and cleaner than the central stretch of the bay, and the sunset view takes in the whole curve of Jimbaran towards the airport. Taxis wait on Jl. Pantai Muaya after dinner, and Grab and Gojek both pick up here.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
