Sundara

Sundara is the beach club and restaurant of Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, set on the sand at the southern end of the bay. By day it runs as an all-day beach house, with sun loungers on the deck beside what it bills as Bali's longest beachfront pool, frozen cocktails and a lighter beach-club menu. Swim time runs from 8am to 10pm.

In the evening the focus moves to the restaurant, where the Asian-inspired dinner menu draws on Jimbaran's seafood barbecue tradition, with each dish including an element of wood, smoke or fire. There is a degustation option, and on Thursdays a chef's table seafood tasting menu by David Gavin. The Sunday Pink Brunch runs from 11.30am to 3.30pm with pastries and chilled seafood platters.

All-day dining is 11am to 10pm and the bar serves cocktails until 1am. The bay faces west, so sunset over the water is the busiest time. Reserve online or through the Four Seasons chat; dress is resort casual, and men should avoid sleeveless shirts at dinner.
