Puri Bambu Hotel

Puri Bambu is a long-established, family-friendly hotel in the traditional village of Kedonganan at the northern end of Jimbaran Bay. Rooms range from standard to deluxe and suites, set around a garden and swimming pool, with a restaurant serving Indonesian and international dishes.

It is one of the more affordable ways to stay near the beach in Jimbaran. The sand and the seafood cafés are a short walk away, and the Kedonganan fish market, where you can choose fish to be grilled at the nearby warungs, is close by. The airport is only about 10 minutes by car, which makes it handy for early flights.

Expect older-style décor rather than boutique design. Book directly by email or through the main booking sites, and ask for a room away from the road if you are a light sleeper. For a cheap and very local evening, buy fish at the market and have it cooked at one of the grills nearby, then walk back along the beach.
