Mövenpick Jimbaran is a large, modern resort on Jl. Wanagiri, a few minutes' walk from the southern end of Jimbaran beach. Rooms are in several low-rise blocks around a chain of lagoon-style pools, and there are also pool villas for those who want more privacy. The style is contemporary rather than traditional, with plenty of space and family rooms that suit parents travelling with children.

Facilities include a spa, gym, kids' club and several restaurants and bars, and the brand's afternoon chocolate hour is popular with younger guests. The resort is set back from the sand rather than on it, but Jimbaran's beach and seafood cafés are within walking distance.

It is mid-range for the Bukit, with prices noticeably below the beachfront five-star resorts nearby. The airport is about 15 minutes away by car. Ask for a room facing the pools rather than the car park, and check for packages that include breakfast.
