Cuca Restaurant

Cuca has been one of south Bali's most talked-about restaurants for more than a decade. It occupies a garden setting off Jl. Yoga Perkanthi, a short way back from Jimbaran Bay, with indoor seating, an outdoor terrace and a front pond lit up in the evening. The concept is small, shareable plates built around Indonesian produce, served alongside a cocktail bar.

Diners can order à la carte or put themselves in the kitchen's hands with the chef's selection tasting menu. Dishes that regulars mention include the soft-shell crab, pork buns, chilli chicken satay, lobster roll and octopus, and the kitchen will often do half portions if you want to try more. There are vegetarian options and a long list of mocktails as well as cocktails.

Open from noon until late every day. Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner, especially at weekends, and the restaurant offers special packages for anniversaries and honeymoons. Allow time for traffic on the Jimbaran roads in the early evening.
