AYANA Resort Bali

AYANA Resort Bali is the original hotel on the AYANA estate, a 90-hectare clifftop property on the western edge of the Bukit above Jimbaran Bay. The estate groups four hotels and shares more than a dozen pools, a long list of restaurants and a sizeable spa, so guests rarely need to leave the grounds. Rooms range from ocean-view hotel rooms to private pool villas set further along the cliff.

The best-known draw is Rock Bar, built on rocks at the foot of the cliff and reached by an inclined lift; hotel guests get priority entry, which matters at sunset when the queue for non-residents can be long. Kubu Beach, a small private cove, is also reserved for guests.

The estate is about 20 minutes from the airport outside rush hour and has a shuttle loop between its hotels and restaurants. It suits families and couples who want everything on site; if you plan to explore Uluwatu's beaches every day, a base further south will save driving time.
