The Cashew Tree has been a fixture of Bingin's clifftop lanes for years, set in a large, leafy garden on the lane named after it. It is a relaxed, spacious all-day café that draws surfers, yoga students and families, and it is one of the better-value places to eat in the Bingin area.
The menu covers breakfast and brunch (pancakes, chia pudding, fruit salad, smoothie bowls), Asian-style bowls, curries and burgers, with a strong vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free selection. Coffee and fresh juices are consistently praised, and the Asian dishes tend to outshine the Western ones. Service is friendly even when it is busy.
Open daily from 07:30 to 22:00, and later on Thursdays. Wednesday nights bring live music and a much livelier crowd; daytime is quieter and good for a long brunch. Weekend mornings fill up, so come early. The café is a short walk from the steps down to Bingin beach.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
