The Bakery

The Bakery is a small bakery-café on the main road at the Bingin junction, opposite Drifter. It opens at 06:00, which makes it a favourite with surfers heading out at dawn and anyone looking for breakfast before the rest of the strip wakes up.

The counter is stacked with croissants, pain au chocolat, cinnamon rolls, sourdough and other pastries, and there is a short café menu for breakfast and lunch. Regulars praise the espresso and almond milk piccolo, the friendly staff and prices that stay fair for the area. Seating is under umbrellas at the front and inside.

Open daily from 06:00 to 19:00. Come early for the best selection, as popular pastries sell out. Bread quality is generally rated well, though as with any bakery it is worth asking what was baked that morning. It is an easy grab-and-go stop on the way to Bingin, Padang Padang or Uluwatu.
