Mû is one of Bingin's longest-standing clifftop stays, with 11 bungalows and five villas of one to five bedrooms spread down the slope above the beach. The largest villa, Lumba Lumba, has a 25-metre saltwater pool; others have private pools or look over the shared pool.
The restaurant and bar, Abracadabra by Mû, sits right on the cliff edge and is a fine place for sunset, with views across Bingin to Impossibles. Guests praise the in-house bakery, the spa and the yoga sessions. Rooms are rustic rather than modern, with some open-air bathrooms, and you may meet geckos and the odd monkey.
The beach is reached by the steep Bingin steps, so this is a better fit for active travellers than for anyone with limited mobility. Ask for a cliff bungalow if you want to wake up to the view, and book dinner on the terrace even if you stay elsewhere.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
