Lay Day Uluwatu Surf & Party Hostel

Lay Day is one of the largest and liveliest hostels on the Bukit, with 168 dorm beds and five private rooms at the start of Jl. Pantai Bingin. It is part of the Archipelago group and is run as a surf and party hostel, with pool parties, events and a busy bar.

The social side is the main draw: it is easy to find people to share a scooter, a surf lesson or a trip to Uluwatu's sunset bars. The hostel can arrange surf lessons and board hire, and Bingin, Padang Padang and Dreamland beaches are all within about ten minutes.

It is very highly reviewed, with more than 2,000 Google reviews, but it is not a quiet option; light sleepers should bring earplugs or book a private room. Prices are among the lowest in the area, and booking direct through the website is straightforward. Lockers, a café and common areas are on site.
