Chela

Chela is one of Bingin's most recognisable buildings: an open, airy structure of curved bamboo set in a garden on Jl. Pantai Bingin. It was one of the first stylish all-day venues in Bingin and has kept a loyal following thanks to consistent food and service.

Breakfast and brunch are the busiest times, with smoothie bowls, eggs, pastries, good coffee and fresh juices. In the evening the menu turns to more considered plates such as scallops and grilled octopus, and some regulars rate dinner as the best service of the day. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are well represented.

Open daily from 08:00 to 23:00. Its calm atmosphere and good music make it a dependable choice for a long breakfast, and the setting is attractive for an evening out without the noise of the bigger clubs. It is a short walk from the Bingin beach lanes; parking is limited, so scooters are easiest.
