Bingin Bienvenue is a small, quiet guesthouse on Jalan Bangbang Metuug in the heart of the Bingin lanes. Simple bungalows open onto a lawned garden with a rectangular pool and bean bags, with flowering plants and lights along the paths. It is a good base for surfers and couples on a budget, and families with small children have stayed comfortably.
Rooms are basic but clean, with comfortable beds, a fridge and a kettle. Some have outdoor bathrooms with a small roof, which are pleasant in dry weather but awkward in heavy rain, so ask for an indoor bathroom in the wet season. Staff are helpful with scooters and local tips.
The guesthouse sits right next to The Cashew Tree, which makes breakfast easy but means music can carry late on Thursday nights. Bingin Beach entry is about 500 metres away, and Dreamland and Padang Padang are a short ride. Payment is in cash on arrival and cards are not accepted, so plan accordingly.
Peak season runs July to August and over Christmas: the best villas and beach-club beds book out early.
