The Bench Brewery

The Bench Brewery is a brewpub and beer garden on Jl. Labuansait near the Bingin turn-off, set up by the team behind Island Brewing, one of the pioneers of Indonesian craft beer. Its own Bench Brewing range includes a hop-forward pale, a 6.5% IPA and a 4.2% Easy Blonde, and Island Brewing's light lager, pilsner and summer pale ale are on tap alongside seasonal beers. The food is pub classics with an upgrade.

There is something on most nights. Weekday lunches have a burger-and-pint deal, Monday is Soul Monday with live music, Tuesday is a pool tournament where the entry includes a pint and the winner takes home a surfboard, Thursday is steak and wine night, and Friday has two-for-one espresso martinis from 7pm to 9pm. The big night is Saturday's Live and Loud from 8pm, with well-known Bali bands playing rock and indie followed by a DJ, and it regularly draws a few hundred people.

Big games are shown on screens, so it is a good spot for live sport. Tables can be booked through the website or by WhatsApp.
