Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center Uluwatu

Alchemy is a long-established Bali yoga school, and its Uluwatu centre on Jalan Pantai Bingin brings the same approach to the Bukit: open bamboo shalas set among plants, a full daily timetable and a recovery area. Classes are grouped into styles such as Yin, Air, Fire and Power yoga, so you can pick something slow and restorative after a surf or a stronger flow on a flat day.

Beyond the mat, the centre runs breathwork, meditation, sound sessions, ecstatic dance and regular events, and it has a sauna, ice bath and hot plunge pools that you can combine with a class. Teacher trainings in yoga, Yin, meditation and breathwork run through the year, and there are villas for people on longer stays.

Drop-in classes start from around US$10, with class passes sold on the website, where the schedule is posted in your device's time zone (Bali is GMT+8). Arrive early: latecomers more than ten minutes after the start are not admitted.
